Who says we have to grow up?!?!

After much begging and pleading I finally convinced Joey to get some pictures taken with me. I always have to sneak pictures of him and I can't decide if it's that he's afraid of the camera, or if he just despises it that much:)! In between the more serious poses I did let him play a little! I realized while playing that I have forgotten how much fun a playground can be! I guess we always stay young at heart!

And Finally. . . Here is Joey's piece of work. "The Smokin' Eagle" I shake my head at his humor :)!!!!

God's Beautiful Handy-work

Fall has always been my favorite season when it comes to the scenery. When you look around outside it looks like God just took a paintbrush of colors and splattered them all around! Red, golds, yellows, oranges, greens. . . I just find it all so breathtaking! With everything so colorful around here right now Joey and I have been riding all over the place to get pictures before the leaves turn brown. I just wanted to share some of the beauty that we have seen. . . of course the pictures don't do God's beautiful handy-work any justice.

Updating

It's been a while since I've updated our blog. . . we just aren't very exciting people!!!! To catch you up on our more recent excursions I've added these pictures: The first two are from Dacian and Alex's trip to Bowling Green to visit Sarah, Melissa and I. We had a lot of fun eating, playing at the pumpkin patch, eating some more, and just having some much needed girl time!!!!!
Caught in action!!!! Joey holding a child????? Again?? These pictures are from our camping trip to Campbellsville, KY. Joey and I received a tent as a wedding gift and had not used it yet, so since the weather is beginning to cool off we thought we should take advantage of it! We got another couple from our church, Mitch & Charlotte, to go with us and had so much fun! The next morning we actually woke up early enough to see the sun rise! Here is one of the shots of the sun coming up over the hill, beautiful sight! The 2nd picture is of Joey and Mitch doing the Fire Dance as they broke up branches for the fire (quite comical!).
These pictures are from August when Joey and I went to Nashville to my friend Tricia's wedding. I got to catch up with a lot of old friends and had so much fun! That is her husband, Nick, in the picture with us. The last picture is mine and Tricia's friend, Brooke, who I hadn't gotten to see since MY wedding!!!!

Lake Cumberland

So I decided to finally take some vacation time and do a little traveling with Joey before he starts back to school. Our first trip was to Lake Cumberland (not to be confused with Cumberland Falls, which is also a great place). We had a WONDERFUL time! It was so relaxing to just get away from everything and play! This was our first vacation since our Honeymoon where we weren't running all over trying to visit with friends and family. Of course the park we picked had a Disc Golf course, and a very nice one at that. Joey and I played disc golf, swam, hiked, fished, relaxed, ate lots of good food and saw all kinds of wildlife (except snakes thank goodness). Joey even entered a sling-shot competition:) Here is a panoramic view of the point that we hiked out to. Very pretty!
The deer that we saw on the trail. She just stood there and watched us.
The view from our balcony.
The view from the Lodge Restaurant and if you notice on the point where the trees end, that is where Joey and I hiked out to! A little scary, but worthwhile!
The famous disc golfer
The fish just didn't want to bite that day, which was fine with me because I wasn't going to eat them! Joey at the sling-shot competition.

Northern Kentucky Trip

Noah and Joey are looking through a State Park guide trying to decide where they want to go next. Madeline and Noah are looking cute as ever.
We went to a Reds game while we were in town and had some AWESOME seats! The second picture is of Ken Griffey Jr. and I barely had to zoom in to get that shot!

Lexington Trip 6-28-08

Joey and I took a trip to Lexington this weekend to help his brother get moved into his new apartment. It was a long and hot day of moving, but we finally got finished! This is a picture of the Finley Four once we got to a good stopping point and were ready for dinner!

The Finley Fellas at Baskin Robbins at the end of moving day.

Joey and I with our buddies Billie and Derek.

Joey claims he is making this face on purpose. Hmmmm, I think that I just told a really funny joke and he is craking up at it:)

Some Wedding Pics for anyone interested

Now that I've figured out how to work this blog thing I think I'm having too much fun with it! I promise I won't dig back too far with pictures from the past, but I just thought I'd add these for fun.
These are from our Honeymoon in Charleston, SC

Memorial Day Weekend with Anna's Family

These pictures are from when we went home to visit my family over the Memorial Day holiday. We had so much fun playing with the kids! I just can't get over how much they have grown (and the dog, Belle, too!)

I love this picture of Joey & Noah because I've never seen him hold any child before. I think it's very sweet.

This is what a typical day looks like for my sister. . . she has one that's little miss drama and one that can be compared to a mixture of curious george and dennis the menace (he's all over the place!).

These next two pictures I laugh at because they were not planned at all, but were so much alike! The most recent one was taken over the Memorial Day weekend and the first one was from March of 2004. Apparently Madeline and I both enjoy yelling:) (and if you can't tell, I was MUCH thinner in the picture from 2004, marriage has really fattened me up!)
